'Lots Of Good Memories': Customers Say Goodbye To Campus Lounge

DENVER (CBS4)- Customers said goodbye to the Campus Lounge on Sunday. The Bonnie Brae landmark has been in business for the past 40 years.

Owner Jim Wiste bought the restaurant in 1976. He said it was time to move on in his decision to close the doors.

Customers packed the bar on Sunday to watch one last Denver Broncos game in their neighborhood bar.

"Lots of good memories here and I'm sad to see it go for sure," said customer Jason Walsh.

"It's an institution. It's a shame. It's going to be a big loss for Denver and to Colorado," said customer F.X. Wallace.

Customers won't be without a neighborhood bar in that location for long. The site already has new owners who will remodel and reopen as a new restaurant and bar.
