Lone Tree Police Chief Retiring

LONE TREE, Colo. (CBS4) - The chief of the Lone Tree Police Department is retiring as of June 9. The city posted a notice about the retirement May 31.
"It has been my honor to have worked for this outstanding agency and with excellent employees," said Jeff Streeter. "I have chosen to move on to a new opportunity and challenge," although no specifics were provided.
Attempts to reach Streeter Monday were not successful and a voicemail message on Streeter's phone indicated he had a new phone number as of June 3.
Lone Tree City Manager Seth Hoffman said, "We certainly wish him the best."
Streeter oversaw a department with 47 uniformed officers. He took the job in 2013 after spending 24 years with the Lakewood Police Department.
Hoffman said there would be a national search to replace Streeter.
