Suspect Arrested In Rec Center Locker Thefts
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A suspect allegedly caught in the act while trying to attempt to break into lockers at the Ridge Recreation Center.
When Jeffco Sheriff's deputies arrived at the rec center located at 6613 S. Ward St. they arrested Mel Peter Trujillo.
Trujillo, 43, is also the suspect in a locker burglary that occurred at the same recreation center on Sunday.
An employee told deputies that before they arrived, another employee confronted Trujillo who then ran from the building. Two employees ran after him into the parking lot where he jumped into a truck and left.
Trujillo was booked into the Jeffco Jail for third degree burglary and criminal mischief.
