Littleton Police Report Big Increase In Storage Unit Thefts

LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4)- The City of Littleton is reporting a big increase in thefts at storage units. Over the past two years, police have reported about 150 such crimes with 90 reports coming from the Public Storage location on Belleview.

Police have released a list of recommendations when choosing a storage unit:

24-Hour Video Surveillance
Security Checks For Locks Every Day
Choose Best Lock Possible
Select Indoor Storage Unit If Possible
