1 Hospitalized After Lightning Strike At Arvada Golf Course

ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - A golfer is in the hospital after being struck by lightning in Arvada Tuesday evening.

Golfers told CBS4 the storm moved in quickly but many were hoping to wait out the storm. But once the lightning started everyone went straight back to the clubhouse.

A golfer who claims to have been at the Indian Tree Golf Course in Arvada during the storm called CBS4 to say one person was killed but CBS4 is still working to confirm that claim.

Many were surprised the storm brought lightning with it. They weren't expecting that based on the early conditions they saw up in the sky.

A police unit and two ambulances went out to one of the holes on the golf course.

Golfers nearby said they heard CPR was administered to the person who was struck.
