Lightning Forces Another A Line Closure
DENVER (CBS4) - Denver's A Line was down for a while Monday night when a severe storm rolled through.
Officials with RTD said the rail stoppage was due to lightning after a breaker trip near 61st and Pena Boulevard. The breaker trip lasted about 10 seconds. As a precautionary measure, crews inspected the overhead wires on that portion of the line.
Due to a lightning strike, all trains on the CU A-Line are stopped. Updates as available.

During the inspection a bus bridge was put into service from 40th and Airport to Denver International Airport. Trains continued to run from Union Station to 40th and Airport and passengers caught the bus from there.
There was a 30-minute gap in service and regular train service was restored a short time later.
The train-to-the-plane service has been experienced several delays and stoppages since it began running in late April.
