Lego Brings America's Most Famous Buildings To Colorado

LONE TREE, Colo. (CBS4)- The LEGO Americana Roadshow is bringing some of America's most famous buildings and landmarks to Colorado-- all made from LEGOs. The "Building Across America" exhibit is at the Park Meadows Mall.

Some of the reproductions on display include the Statue of Liberty, the Liberty Bell and the U.S. Capitol.

"The Americana Roadshow is about getting LEGO bricks in people's hands," said LEGO Tour Manager Andrew Little.

The models were built by LEGO Master Builders over a period of months. They used standard LEGO pieces available in most stores.

"Thousands and thousands of hours and design time go into building this," said Little.

Little said its all about inspiration and education, "Every model comes with some historical facts.

"There's not too many products out there that provide that kind of enjoyment for kids and adults."

The LEGO Americana Roadshow will be at the Park Meadows Mall through April 19.
