Leadership Change At The Broadmoor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — The luxury Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs will have a new president next year.

Current president Steve Bartolin has appointed vice president and managing director Jack Damioli to succeed him on March 1.

Bartolin has been The Broadmoor's president for 24 years. He will become chairman of an 11-member board that will oversee the hotel and related properties.

The Gazette reported Thursday that Damioli will be just the seventh president since the Broadmoor's founding in 1918. The five-star hotel wants to ensure an orderly succession to Bartolin, the property's longest-serving president.

Damioli also will be president of the Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway, which the Broadmoor owns.
