Lawmakers To Hear From Colorado's Top Judge

DENVER (AP) — Colorado's governor gave his annual address Thursday. Now the state's top judge is headed to the Capitol to deliver the annual State of the Judiciary address.

Chief Justice Nancy Rice will address all 100 lawmakers on Friday. She will talk about her first full year leading the Colorado Supreme Court, where she became chief justice a year ago.

Rice was at the Capitol earlier this week to swear in the statewide officers for the next four years.

Chief justices annually give lawmakers a report after the governor's address to fill them in on any needs the judiciary has for the coming year.
