Severe Storms Back In The Forecast

By Dave Aguilera

DENVER (CBS4) - Sunday's storms managed to reach severe levels to finish out the weekend. A dangerous storm in northeastern Weld county was strong enough to prompt a tornado warning near New Raymer and dropped up to tennis ball size hail. Severe storms may continue through Sunday night near the Kansas and Nebraska state lines.

Monday will be much cooler with a better chance of scattered afternoon thunderstorms. In fact, the overall pattern of daily late day showers and storms will be back in full force starting on Monday through the end of the week ahead as the summer monsoon surges again. Some of Monday's storms may be severe over northeastern Colorado.
