Keeping the 90s and a Few Storms In the Forecast

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - Thanks to that weak cold front, Monday morning's low was just 59 degrees...but we went soaring from there as we topped out officially at the airport at 97 degrees. Slightly cooler downtown with just 92 degrees. Only a very few isolated storms were found around the entire state with a few Severe Thunderstorm Warnings posted - mainly over the southeast.

Tuesday should bring more of the same: scattered storms with a high back in the low to mid 90s and more of the same for Wednesday. Low 90s and isolated storms come out way Thursday, but we catch a little break Friday with isolated storms and highs only in the mid to upper 80s. We'll start the weekend with an isolated storm with a high near 90 for Saturday.
