A Cold Night And Morning Ahead

By Lauren Whitney
DENVER (CBS4) -

A cold front raced into Colorado on Thursday, bringing snow and much cooler temperatures to Colorado. After hitting the upper 60s on Wednesday, we dropped to the 40s on Thursday. A few flurries fell around Denver, with heavier snow on the south side of town.

The mountains will continue to see heavy snow through the night, but it will greatly improve as the night goes on.

Friday morning will be a cold one as overnight lows will drop to the teens. We will only warm up to the mid 40s on Friday, with windy conditions possible.

Winds really ramp up on Friday night, we will have a High Wind Warning as winds could top 90 mph in the foothills and some mountain areas. These are dangerous wind conditions that we will experience through the weekend, so please take caution while driving.

We'll be warm through the weekend, but we are watching for another chance for snow on Monday.
