After a Mild Friday, More Clouds for the Weekend But 60s Continue

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - This month is now tied with 1930 for the second warmest February on record in Denver, as well as being tied with 2009 as the least snowy on record with only a trace of snow so far this month. Neither ranking will change through the weekend, but there still is a lot of the month to go. We saw plenty of sunshine on Friday and that helped warm Denver's high, although not quite to record territory, we did manage to reach 20 degrees above normal when we topped out at 66 degrees officially at the airport and 67 downtown.

More clouds and slightly cooler for Saturday as we begin the weekend in the low 60s; maybe an isolated shower Sunday with a high in the mid 60s. Then for those who have President's Day Holiday off, you'll have a good one: sunny, mild and dry with a high in the lower 60s.

Looking further into next week: mostly sunny and mild for Tuesday with a high reaching near 70 degrees; mostly sunny Wednesday with a high in the mid 60s. Right now it looks like cooler weather with some isolated showers arrive for Thursday with a high around 50 degrees.
