Heating Up & Drying Out For Weekend

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - Another hot late August day as Denver reached a high of 90 officially at the airport, while downtown Denver reached 91.  Isolated storms were sprinkled across the state of Friday and that was about it.

Looks like more of the same for Saturday as our high will reach into the low to mid 90s.  A weak cold front pushed through on Sunday and that will bring our high down to the low to mid 80s with a chance for a few isolated storms.

We'll start next week with mostly sunny skies on Monday and a high in the upper 80s.  Little change for Tuesday and Wednesday as we stay sunny, warm and dry.

The weather will also be perfect for the Broncos preseason game against Green Bay Saturday evening at Mile High.

Isolated storms are possible on Sunday evening, but again should stay on the dry side in Denver with highs dropping a bit to the upper 80s.
