Cool Sunday, Warm Monday

By Dave Aguilera

DENVER (CBS4) - Welcome to another dry weekend! There is a very weak cold front that will drag across the state on Sunday. But, other than a few passing clouds and perhaps a few flakes of snow in the highest Northern Mountains the moisture will be very limited.

Denver highs will rise into the upper 60s for Sunday. In the mountains highs will mostly be in the 50s with 50s and 60s combined out over the western slope.

Our high pressure ridge will be strengthening in the week ahead with temperatures over the eastern plains including Denver making it into the low to mid 70s by mid-week. There is a storm system expected over our state on Thursday. There is a small chance Denver may see some moisture out of this wave. But, the bulk of moisture should stay north of the state.
