Warming Trend And Moisture From Tropical Storm

By Dave Aguilera

DENVER (CBS4) - Our last weekend of summer ended on a warm note. The high at DIA made it to 88 degrees on Sunday! That's 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.

On the weather map we have a ridge of high pressure over the southwest and the central Rocky Mountain Region. This will deliver some nice warmth for the last few days of the season. The Autumnal Equinox arrives on Thursday morning at 8:21 am.

There will be an increase of clouds and a chance of showers late Tuesday into Wednesday. As high pressure moves into the great plains this will open the door for moisture from Tropical storm Paine to flow up into the state.

There will be a good chance for showers and storm over the mountains and western part of the state with only isolated late day storms over the eastern plains of Colorado.
