A Cold Front Will Drop High Temperatures; Winds Decrease

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - Normal high for an October 3rd is 71 degrees...and today we were a full ten degrees above that as the official high reached 81 at both the airport and downtown. The downslope push from the approaching cold front helped with that warm-up. Now as the front sweeps through he state, temperatures will be much cooler for Tuesday - expect a high only in the low to mid 60s under partly cloudy skies. Wednesday will see little change with a high back in the mid 60s.

Then another surge of colder air, and this time with moisture, will chill us even more on Thursday with a good chance for scattered showers and a high not out of the low 50s! As we move toward the weekend, weather improves: Mostly sunny on Friday with a high in the low 60s; Mostly sunny on Saturday with a high in the low 70s; we'll keep the sunshine around on Sunday with a high in the mid 70s.
