After a Near-Record High Wednesday, We'll Turn Cooler Thursday

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) That big ridge of high pressure sitting over the west continued to bring us sunshine and very mild temperatures. In fact we recorded a morning low 7 degrees above normal at 34 degrees and then, with all that sunshine, the high for the day ended up just two degrees shy of the 1927 record high of 76 degrees - when we reached 74 degrees at both the airport and downtown locations.

A cooler surge of air pushes in for Thursday and that will drop our high temperature by about 10 degrees - into the mid 60s. Cooler still, with a high around 60 for Friday - Veteran's Day. Then the mild weather returns just in time for the weekend: fair and mild Saturday, Sunday and Monday with highs in the mid to upper 60s each day.
