Thunderstorms Will Hang With Us Through The Weekend

DENVER (CBS4) - Another round of severe thunderstorms pounded the plains on Friday. At least 3 tornadoes were reported during the afternoon storms from Elbert county into eastern Adams and Arapahoe counties. With damage and injuries reported with one twister near Byers.

Along with tornadoes the storms also produced large hail, damaging wind and heavy rain. Localized flooding was reported with some of the storms that dropped as much as 1 to 3 inches of rain.

The same conditions will be holding on through the weekend. So most of eastern Colorado has a decent chance of more showers and thunderstorms to develop by afternoon. All of the eastern plains are outlooked for a marginal chance for severe storms. Large hail and damaging wind are the biggest threat for Saturday and Sunday.
