Flash Flood Concerns With Heavy Rain

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) -

A soggy night and Saturday ahead. Heavy rain is likely on and off through the night and all day on Saturday. Because of the chance for heavy rain, we have a Flash Flood Watch from the foothills to the plains. With these heavy downpours, there is a chance some areas will see 3 to 5 inches of rain. The Flash Flood Watch is in place through Saturday night.

Saturday, we'll barely get to the mid 50s. This will be our coolest day in about a month.

While we're dealing with heavy rain and flooding, the high country is in for some heavy snow. We have Winter Weather Advisories through Saturday night for 3 to 10 inches of snow. The heaviest snow will be above 11,000 feet.

We dry out on Sunday, however there will still be a chance for isolated storms on Sunday. Temperatures will climb back to the low 60s. We'll be much warmer again by Monday.
