More Heat As The Week Continues

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) - Another hot day in Colorado, we hit 95 degrees in Denver today. Some mid afternoon clouds rolled in as storms tried to make their way into the city, but we didn't get anything from them. The clouds however, did help with the heat and we actually dropped to the mid 80s for awhile. Once they cleared, we did climb up a few more degrees.

Severe storms caused flooding and dropped ping pong ball sized hail in northeastern Colorado. Yuma county saw some intense hail and flooding thanks to these storms.

We'll be hot again in Denver on Wednesday, with highs once again in the upper 90s. We should start the day with sunshine, later in the afternoon and evening there is a chance for isolated storms to roll through.

Our northwestern corner has been very dry, there is a chance they could finally see some heavier rainfall on Wednesday.

We are still hot through Friday, before dropping to the 80s on Saturday. Sunday will feel so nice with highs in the low 80s, and maybe even as low as the upper 70s!
