Temperatures Drop, Storm Chances Increase

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) - A gloomy start to the day across most of the Front Range and plains. We'll stay cloudy today as a cold front knocks down our temperatures to the low 80s, a bog drop from the low 90s yesterday. Overall, today will be fairly mild but this evening we could get a few thunderstorms that could turn severe. Hail, wind, and moderate to heavy rain possible with those storms.

Cloudy skies stick around overnight, and we could have some fog tomorrow morning for eastern Colorado. Tomorrow will bring a mix of sun and clouds, but we should stay on the dry side with slightly warmer temperatures.

Thursday is a big day in Denver! The NFL season kicks off with the Broncos taking on the Panthers at Mile High Stadium. We'll have a great day and night for football and festivities. We'll be cooler to end the work week, but do stay dry.
