Temperatures Close To Record Highs Before Cool Down

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) - Another gorgeous day in Colorado! Plenty of sunshine with a few clouds, and even a little rain in southwestern Colorado. Once again, temperatures climbed into the mid 70s.

We'll be even warmer on Friday, with an expected high of 81 degrees. The record in Denver is 83° set on October 20, 1950

That won't last long as a cold front passes through Colorado late Friday night into early Saturday morning. The mountains look to get a little shot of snow, there won't be much though. We most likely won't see any rain across the Front Range, but we will see a massive cool down on Saturday.

We'll only be in the upper 50s on Saturday afternoon, along with gusty northwesterly winds.

Sunday, we're back to sunshine and the 60s and calmer winds.
