Flooding Possible With Heavy Rain For Parts Of Colorado

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) -

A nice influx of moisture from the slow moving system moving through Colorado. A few storms rolled through Denver, bringing very heavy rain and some lightning. We roller coastered back and forth between sunshine and very heavy rain.

Friday was a touch cooler than yesterday, we hit 79 officially in Denver.

Storms will continue well into the night for the eastern plains. A Flash Flood Watch is in place through midnight with storms that could drop very intense heavy rainfall, very quickly.

Storms will clear overnight for the rest of Colorado. We could have some clouds to start the day on Saturday, and there is a chance for a little bit of rain on Saturday for eastern Colorado. The rest of the state should be sunny and dry.

Sunday we are looking warm and sunny! It should be a gorgeous day with highs in the mid 80s and lots of sunshine.
