Sunny And Warmer Dominates Most Of The Week

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) - Our slow temperature climb continues after only hitting 36 degrees in Denver on Monday. We hit 72 degrees in Denver on Wednesday, and we'll go up even more on Thursday.

We'll be in the upper 70s on Thursday with plenty of sunshine.

A relatively weak cold front will pass on Friday causing temperatures to drop about 10 degrees. We won't see any precipitation, skies will stay on the sunny side with a few clouds. Then an upper-level system behind the front will move east across Wyoming and into South Dakota over the weekend. With the system staying north of us, impacts will be minimal. We could still see a few rain showers Saturday night with a few snow showers possible for the mountains. Sunday morning will be a cold one as overnight lows will be near freezing.

Dry and cool weather will prevail for the Broncos game Sunday evening at Mile High, bring a jacket as it will be cooler by the end of the game.
