Storm Leaving Colorado, Warmer For Saturday
DENVER (CBS4) - A strong, quick moving spring storm hit Colorado bringing wind and much needed moisture to our state. Officially at DIA, only a trace of snow, but .55 inches of rain! At our studio in downtown Denver, we got just over .4 inches of rain.
Blizzard conditions caused the shut down of part of I-70 and I-25. Skies are clearing, but it may take a little while for the winds to die down. It may even be a bit breezy tomorrow. Most areas in north Denver only saw rain, while the south side of town and into Douglas county saw some very heavy snow.
SNOW TOTALS: Storm Drops 18 Inches In Larkspur
We'll be drier for most of Saturday here across the Front Range, but we could see a little rain late in the day with more snow possible in the mountains. THey could get another 3 to 6 inches of snow. Here in Denver, we'll have highs back to the low 60s.
We may see showers on Sunday for eastern Colorado, with highs dropping back to the 50s.
Next week will remain unsettled with several chances for rain and snow across Colorado. Temperatures will stay near normal with highs mainly in the 50s along the Front Range. The final week of March will without a doubt be the coolest week of the month.
