Warm Temperatures, Just Scattered to Isolated Storms

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - The official high on Monday reached 90 degrees - 5 degrees above normal for this time of year. Now all this week temperatures should stay above normal right into the weekend: Look for low 90s for tomorrow, Tuesday, and again on Wednesday with Thursday in the upper 80s - and each one of those day we can also expect isolated or scattered late day storms.

Friday will be fair and dry with highs in the mid to upper 80s. We'll start the weekend with sunny skies on Saturday and a hot high around 90. Sunday stays sunny with an even warmer high in the low 90s.

Moisture over Texas from Tropical Storm Harvey is being blocked from moving into Colorado thanks to a large ridge of high pressure. This ridge, pairing with another one over the southeast, are what's keeping Tropical Storm Harvey locked in and unable to move much. In fact we don't see much movement out of the Gulf and to the north until about Thursday. That means those devastating rains will continue.
