Right On Schedule: Rain Pours Into Colorado...Snow Higher Up
DENVER (CBS4) - On Thursday the high temperature reached officially at the airport and the downtown location was 64 degrees - just about normal for this time of year - then that much need rain arrived on during the afternoon. This next storm will bring cooler temperatures as well as rain for lower elevations and snow for the high country. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6pm on Friday for portions of the northern and central mountains for 4-8 inches on new snow.
Rain or scattered showers continue overnight and into Friday, with Friday's high only reaching the upper 40s. Saturday will see partly cloudy skies with a few linger showers and a high into the upper 50s. Sunday is the break-out day for the weekend with a high in the mid 70s with plenty of sunshine. We'll begin next week with another sunny day on Monday - highs in the low 70s. Then another system begins to move into out state: Tuesday will become mostly cloudy with a high around 70; then it's back into the 60s for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with scattered showers each day.
