Scattered storms Continue Across the State Into the Weekend

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver saw sunshine early, then hazy sunshine late, but not much in the way of storms. Those were confined to our southern and eastern border areas with a Flash Flood Warning issued during the afternoon for portions of Kit Carson county. Denver reached a high of 82 degrees officially at the airport and right at 80 degrees downtown.

For Thursday, only isolated late storms are possible with a warmer high into the mid 80s. Looks like a better chance for afternoon and evening storms - some possibly heavy - for Friday with a high in the mid to upper 80s. Showers and storms begin the weekend on Saturday, with a high in the mid 80s, but we dry out on Sunday, with partly sunny skies and a pleasant high in the low 80s. A good start to next week with mostly sunny skies on Monday as we stay in the pleasant lower 80s.
