Fewer Storms For Sunday
DENVER (CBS4) - After hours of rain pounding parts of northeastern Colorado. Drier air is finally moving into the northeastern plains. Also, things are calming down over the mountains and the Front Range after providing mountain snow and a few showers and thunderstorms around the Front Range.
Rainfall amounts over the northeastern plains in the last 24 hours have been very impressive with a little street flooding in some of our northeastern towns and rural areas.
Sunday will start out with patchy fog over parts of the Front Range and eastern plains in the morning. Then, the sun should return by mid-day with enough heating for a few isolated afternoon thunderstorms across the mountains and eastern plains by mid-afternoon.
The week ahead will be much warmer with daily afternoon thunderstorms possible.
