Mountain Snow Ending, Staying Chilly Into Evening

By Ashton Altieri

DENVER (CBS4) - For the weekend, plan on a very cold start on Saturday with morning temperatures in the teens. Winds should weaken across the plains but, it looks like the mountains will remain on the windy side.

Then middle 40s Saturday afternoon followed by lower 50s in the metro area on Sunday. It will stay mostly sunny to partly cloudy statewide this weekend. The only chance for snow will be in the mountains Saturday night with perhaps a few flurries flying around. Where there might be around 1 to 2 inches in some if the northern mountains.

A warming trend will start the week ahead with a chance for 60s returning briefly on Tuesday.
