Generally Dry Weather Ahead, Only Very Isolated T-Storms
DENVER (CBS4) - Denver officially reached 91° on Saturday which was noticeably "cooler" compared to much of last week. Similar temperatures are expected on Sunday before somewhat hotter weather returns Monday. But fortunately we don't see another heat wave including far above normal temperatures coming our way anytime soon!
In terms of moisture and specifically thunderstorm chances, they will become much smaller in the coming days. On Sunday there a slight chance (10-20%) for afternoon and evening thunderstorms over the higher foothills and mountains. The chance for a thunderstorm in Denver or along the Front Range Sunday is less than 10% and it's near 0% on the Eastern Plains.
On Monday we expect the air to be dry enough to prevent any thunderstorms from developing at lower elevations. A slight chance will persist over the mountains and higher foothills.
