Weekend To Bring Nice Warming Trend, Few T-Storms
DENVER (CBS4) - Skies have cleared behind a fast-moving cold front that brought a few scattered showers and some cooler weather to the area on Thursday.
The trend for tonight and tomorrow will be for high pressure to build into the state and that means a warm, dry and quiet start to the weekend.
Temperatures will climb to near 80 degrees in Denver on Sunday.
It's the time of year that with a high sun angle and ample daytime heating, we can see afternoon thunderstorms if there's enough moisture in the area.
And by Saturday we should see an influx of moisture from the south which will bring us a small chance for afternoon thunderstorms.
At this time severe weather is not expected but gusty wind is likely with any storms that manage to develop.
In the mountains we'll likely see a few snow showers along with isolated thunderstorms Saturday afternoon. Dry weather will prevail statewide on Sunday.
