Storms Tomorrow, But Drier as We Head Through the Holiday Weekend

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - Thursday found storms mainly over the mountains west with only clouds moving over Denver by afternoon. Before the clouds moved in the high reached a toasty 87 degrees officially at the airport and 86 downtown. Friday will bring a little better chance for scattered storms and a few could reach severe levels with a cooler high in the lower 80s.

As we start the final three day holiday weekend of the summer, just scattered late day storms on Saturday with a high in the mid to upper 80s; partly cloudy on Sunday with a high in the upper 80s; just about perfect on Monday, the Labor Day holiday: mostly sunny with a high in the mid 80s. Then back to work on Tuesday, with isolated storms returning to the forecast and a cooler high in the lower 80s.
