Rain Changes Over to Snow Overnight; A Chilly and Wet Day Saturday

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - Friday that Winter Storm continued to move into Colorado with cold air and plenty of moisture - in the form of rain and snow, depending on your elevation. The high in Denver was 46 officially (50 downtown) but occurring just after midnight. Then the cold air began to pour in with the low for the day - 38 degrees - occurring around 3pm. The temperatures will continue to fall over night changing the rain over to snow and dropping a few inches across the metro area...but much more to the west and south, the higher you go.

Rain mixed with snow off and on for Saturday in Denver with a high not out of the 30s. We recover nicely for Sunday with mostly sunny skies and highs getting into the more seasonal mid to upper 50s. Monday will see increasing clouds as our next Winter Storm approaches with showers developing late in the day and a high in the mid 50s. Rain mixed with snow and a high only near 40 is back for Tuesday, with this clearing our Wednesday as showers end and the high reaches near 50 degrees.

Then I think we'll see several dry and warmer days = right into next weekend - with highs getting back into the 60s and 70s.
