Much Warmer & Drier Week Ahead

By Lauren Whitney
DENVER (CBS4) -

After a cool, cloudy, and rainy weekend we are in for much warmer temperatures this week. We jumped back to the mid 70s on Monday after only reaching the 50s on Sunday.

A few isolated thunderstorms are possible on Monday evening, but skies will clear from the clouds on Tuesday morning. Tuesday we climb back to the low 80s with sunshine to start and a few more isolated showers and storms possible in the afternoon and evening. A few more storms could fire up on Wednesday but overall this week won't be as wet as last week.

The rest of the week looks very warm, with highs getting close to 90. We should stay dry to end the week, but this time of year we can't rule out an isolated storm or two to pop up. Overall, plan on a dry end to the week and Memorial Day Weekend.

Some weather models are suggesting we could be near 90 on Saturday and Sunday and then mid 80s on Monday. And as of now it looks like nothing more than small late day storm chances.
