Temperatures Warm Up Through the Long Holiday Weekend

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - After overnight showers and storms, Friday dawned much cooler with mostly cloudy skies. As the afternoon rolled on the skies cleared. With the late sunshine the high for the day also came late as we reached 74 at 5:28pm - 75 downtown.

Saturday will continue those sunny skies and bring a warm up: we'll reach into the mid 80s. Sunday will be warmer and we'll see a chance for just a few isolated storms - look for a high into the low 90s. Little change on Monday: maybe an isolated storm with a high back in the low 90s. for the 4th of July holiday - just as it should be: mostly sunny and hot - look for a high staying in the low 90s. Back to work on Wednesday and it's stays hot: mostly sunny skies as we push into the mid 90s and little change for Thursday.
