Gradual Warm Up

By Dave Aguilera

DENVER (CBS4) - What a wonderful end to the weekend. The wind finally died down and bright , blue skies took over Sunday! Denver's Sunday high made it to 50 degrees and a gradual warming trend is on the way. Yes, we need the moisture but, it doesn't look like we will see much of that this week.

There is a little shot of moisture that will produce some mountain snow showers on Monday. But, for Denver and the eastern plains most of Monday will be high and dry. There may be a brief sprinkle or flurry late in the day heading into the evening from south Denver to the Palmer Ridge and up north between Loveland and Cheyenne. But, even with that it is only a slight chance and moisture will be minimal.

The big warm up will take over by mid-week with a strengthening high pressure ridge. Highs across Denver and our surrounding suburbs may rise into the upper 60s to near 70 by then!

Next chance for moisture in Denver may be a slight chance of rain pushing in for next Sunday.
