Cooler Temperatures and Heavy Rains
By Ed Greene
DENVER (CBS4) - Wednesday, temperatures stayed in the low 80s in Denver: 83 officially at the airport and only 80 degrees downtown. Around the state, especially east, storms dropped impressive amounts of rain - up to two and a half inches in some areas of Douglas and Elbert counties! That is why a Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 3AM for the southeastern quadrant of the state.
Look for more of the same on Thursday as highs will continue in the lower 80s and scattered storms will once again produce heavy rainfall in some areas. In fact, as we look ahead through the weekend, not much changes: highs stay in the 80s and scattered storms and showers will be around each day...with some storms producing heavy rainfall.
