More Severe Storms Possible Today

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) - Severe storms rolled through parts of eastern Colorado last night, dropping large hail and very intense rain. Some hail reports near Colorado Springs topped around 2.5 inches in diameter! More severe storms are possible later this afternoon and into the night. Some storms may not fire up until tonight for the Denver area. Our eastern plains could be in for a stormy night. Very large hail will be the biggest threat from today's storms, along with heavy rain and very gusty winds. Highs today stay a little cooler, with temperatures in the mid 80s.

Tomorrow, the heat is back. The 90s return with mostly sunny skies and the chance for isolated storms. Sunday will be pretty hot, with highs in the upper 90s and afternoon storms possible.
