After A Cold Start, Warmer For Tuesday Afternoon

By Lauren Whitney
DENVER (CBS4) -

A chilly, cloudy day for Denver! While we didn't see much more than a few flakes in Denver on Monday, the snow continued to pile up in the high country and western mountains. We have Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Watches in place for many areas of our western mountains.

The southwestern corner looks to get hit the hardest with another foot or more of snow possible. Most other areas could see another 4 to 6 inches. There could be a few bands of snow that produce some really heavy snow, so a few areas could see a bit more.

Snow will continue through Tuesday for some mountain areas, however it will be much lighter.

Skies start to clear into Tuesday morning for the front range and plains, so we'll be in for a cold start to the day. After that, we are back to the low 50s with plenty of sunshine.

Valentine's Day on Wednesday will bring some lovely temperatures, we'll be in the low 60s with sunshine!
