Snow Showers Friday; Better Chance for Snow and Colder by Tuesday

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - Skies cleared on Thursday and the weak sunshine was just strong enough to push us into the lower for the days high: 41 degrees officially at the airport and 43 downtown. Look for increasing clouds overnight as a weak system to the north brings cooler air and a chance for snow showers in the metro area - expect a high in the low 30s.

The weekend looks fairly nice: partly sunny Saturday with a high in the low 40s; mostly sunny on Sunday with a high in the upper 40s. As we begin next week we will start to see and strong weather change: increasing clouds Monday with rain or snow showers developing - high in the lower 40s. Then turning much colder with a good chance for snow Monday night into Tuesday with a high Tuesday only in the low 20s. The storm moves out but will leave the cold air behind...so Wednesday with be partly sunny with a high near 20 degrees.
