Scattered Showers and Cooler Weather for Your Thursday

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - A Freeze Warning was issued and the official low for Denver got close: 34 degrees. It has not been that cold since May 8th when the low was 32 degrees. The high only reached 66 degrees officially at the airport and 64 degrees downtown. Look for mostly cloudy skies overnight, scattered showers could develop and a few may even be mixed with snow! A Winter Weather Advisory is out for portions of the northern and central mountains until Noon Thursday for 3 to 6 inches of snow, mainly above 8000 feet. For Denver, Thursday with be mostly cloudy and cool with scattered showers and a high only in the mid 50s.

Then drier air moves right back into the state with sunshine dominating the forecast: Friday will see a high in the mid 60s, then into the low 70s for Saturday, mid 70s Sunday and mid to upper 70s for Monday - Columbus Day...and again, with sunshine all the way.
