Looking At May Showers Over the Next Few Days

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - The new month of May started out nearly seasonal but with those gusty winds ahead of a cold front now pushing through the state. Our high reached 64 degrees - only two degrees below the normal high for this time of year. That front will bring only slightly cooler temperatures but a good chance for showers and a few thunderstorms on Tuesday...more widely scattered showers on Wednesday. Highs both days will be right around 60.

Thursday begins a good warm-up: mostly sunny skies with a high in the low 70s. Mostly sunny skies continue on Friday with a high in the upper 70s. The look for a warm and dry weekend with highs getting into the low 80s for both Saturday and Sunday.
