More Soggy Weather On The Way This Week

By Lauren Whitney
DENVER (CBS4) -

We had a very soggy weekend in Colorado, especially here in Denver. We received .0.88" of rain this weekend in Denver. Most of that was Saturday evening which resulted in Saturday becoming the wettest September 23 on record.

We did see a bit more rain in Denver on Monday, along with more snow in the high country. We also saw another day of well below average temperatures with only 55 degrees in Denver.

Monday night will be a cold one across Colorado, with Denver dropping to the upper 30s! That will seem mild compared to the high country and Western Slope where most areas will be in the 20s! A Freeze Warning is in place for north and southwestern Colorado and the San Luis Valley.

We may see a little more precipitation on Tuesday, but the better chance for moisture again will come later in the week. A new area of low pressure will head up our way from the south, so this time we won't get as cold or see as much rain. By Friday, temperatures will be warmer with highs back in the low 70s but still plenty of upper 60s.
