Increasing Fire Danger & Some Air Quality Issues

DENVER (CBS4) - There weren't many storms across Colorado for Monday, but, those that did fire up packed quite a punch. An afternoon storm produced a funnel cloud near Kit Carson. Golf ball size hail pelted Wray and Wild Horse in eastern parts of the state. Flagler was hammered with ping-pong ball size hail. The high in Denver reached 89 degrees at the airport and 88 downtown - close to the normal high for this time of year of 86 degrees.

Tomorrow, we jump right back into the heat as we push the high into the low to mid 90s with a slight chance for isolated storms. Back to seasonal weather on Wednesday with a high in the mid to upper 80s - again with isolated storms...and little change for Thursday: mid 80s and maybe an isolated storm.

Friday will be cooler and dry - a high in the upper 70s. The warmer for the weekend: mid 80s Saturday, upper 80s Sunday, under partly cloudy skies.
