Unsettled Weekend With Cooler Weekend

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) -

A few isolated storms possible in Denver on Friday evening, but the risk of severe storms stays in northern Colorado. Temperatures dropped today about ten degrees thanks to a cold front that moved through early on Friday morning. We certainly weren't cold, but much cooler than Thursday.

Saturday, we'll cool off even more to the mid 60s. There will be clouds and a chance for afternoon and evening thunderstorms across the Front Range and plains.

Mother's Day on Sunday will bring warmer temperatures, but still a chance for afternoon storms. Overall, Sunday should be a nice day but watchout for a few storms to potentially pop up.

If you're planning on any graduation parties for the weekend, everything should go smoothly. Just watch for that isolated storm chance. Pretty typical for spring time in Colorado.
