Snow in the High Country Overnight...But Clear in Denver Into the Weekend

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - A fast moving winter system will push snow into the high country overnight and as a result a Winter weather Advisory has been issued for portions of the northern and central mountains from midnight tonight through Noon on Thursday for 2-5" of new snow.

On Wednesday Denver saw a high of 50 degrees which is but a single degree above normal, after an overnight low of 23 and that's two degrees above normal...so a fairly normal Wednesday for this time of year. Expect clear skies tonight with a low near 30, then sunshine for Thanksgiving - breezy at times - and a high in the upper 40s. Friday will keep sunny skies around and add about ten degrees - into the upper 50s. Then sunny and near 60 on Saturday...more seasonal with a few more clouds on Sunday - a high back in the upper 40s.

Colder weather moves in to start next week: mostly cloudy and colder Monday with a high in the upper 30s; maybe flurries Tuesday and colder still - high in the low 30s!
