Drastically Cooler After Record High
DENVER (CBS4) -
A quick cold front raced through Colorado on Tuesday morning, significantly dropping our temperatures. On Monday, we hit the all time record high for November with 81 degrees in Denver. On Tuesday, we dropped to 46! What a difference in 24 hours.
There was just a bit of rain and drizzle in Denver, with more snow in the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Skies gradually cleared, and we ended with sunny skies in the afternoon.
Wednesday high pressure builds back in the west, and we start a new drier weather pattern across Colorado. We'll see highs return to the upper 50s with plenty of sunshine.
There are signs a storm will reach Colorado early next week bringing snow to the mountains and hopefully at least a chance for precipitation in the metro area. Right now this seems most likely on Tuesday (Dec 5). We'll keep you posted!
