Major Warm Up Starts Quickly

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) -After a bitter cold start to the morning, we bounced back to the upper 30s and even some low 40s across eastern Colorado. There are still plenty of icy spots across town, but they will be melting very quickly with the warm up we're expecting by Wednesday.

High pressure will be in from the southwest, and will push our temperatures to the mid 60s by Thursday. Temperatures will reach the mid to low 50s on Wednesday.

We stay in the 60s on Friday, but quickly drop to the low 40s on Saturday with our next system.

At this time it appears the storm will break off from the main flow in the atmosphere and track east across southern Colorado and northern New Mexico which would place it in the ideal position for upslope along the Front Range. The result would be snow in Denver and along the entire urban corridor from late Saturday through early Sunday. We'll keep you posted!
